Originally trained as an archaeologist, Emily Parke Chase no longer glues old pottery shards together, but helps repair people's broken lives instead. Her seven non-fiction books include Help! My Family's Messed Up! (Kregel), and Standing Tall After Falling Short (Moody). Her true stories have appeared in twenty different Chicken Soup for the Soul volumes. WORKSHOP: "Soup's On! A Recipe for Writing for Collections and Anthologies". Collections of stories such as Chicken Soup for the Soul, along with anthologies or devotionals, offer some of the best opportunities for new writers to break into the publishing world, but each editor has specific features they seek in the stories they choose to include. Emily will share practical tips on how to meet those criteria, tips that will make your writing fit the bill.
